Since 2016, I have served as the designer for TAFE (Theatre Arts For Everyone),
a York, Pennsylvania-based theatre company. My work encompasses the full scope of
their visual identity, from the initial logo and brand system to ongoing marketing
materials, including show posters, brochures, and digital communications.

Below is a sampling of the work I have done for TAFE.

Branding

I designed the visual identity to reflect TAFE’s core mission: theatre for all ages. By utilizing playful colors, fluid, organic graphics, and approachable typography, I created a flexible system that resonates with young children, seniors, and everyone in between. This core branding has remained a consistent, recognizable foundation for the company for nearly a decade.

Season Marketing & Community Outreach

This section shows how TAFE’s season marketing has evolved—transitioning from original bifold brochures (click on it to view the full booklet) that focused on the mission and schedule to high-impact single-page flyers and modern rack cards. While the formats have shifted to meet changing needs, the signature “popping” color palette and playful branding remain the constant thread that ensures every piece is instantly recognizable.

In addition to seasonal collateral, I manage the design of specialized print materials. This includes a custom tri-fold brochure designed to thank dedicated members for their support, as well as unique record-style cards for the “Give Local York” community giving event.

I also created a fun design for the tri-fold brochure. The goal of the brochure was to thank members for supporting TAFE for five years.

Show Posters & Event Flyers

As with other marketing materials, I am responsible for the full design of the posters and flyers. When deciding on the colors for the show posters, I base them on the show’s description and/or logo.

For the last few years, TAFE has been producing a show called Women and One Acts. I have had the pleasure of creating the title/logo for this show. For the 2024 season of Women and One Acts, TAFE is presenting Wit, for which I created the logo.

Newsletters

In 2021, I took over the design and production of TAFE’s quarterly newsletters. This transition allowed for a significant design upgrade, elevating the layout to a more sophisticated, readable standard. These pieces are distributed as both email communications and direct mailers, maintaining high engagement through a cohesive, multi-channel design approach. Notably, for the 2026 season, the publication transitioned from a self-mailed format to being distributed within an envelope—a change that allows for a full-bleed, edge-to-edge design without the constraints of postal markings. Program Layouts

For show programs, I design custom covers and sponsor pages that visually mirror the show’s promotional poster, ensuring a seamless audience experience from the moment they see an advertisement until they take their seat. I also manage the complete layout of interior content and design individual advertisements for local business partners. Click to view the full booklet.
